Shoes make all the difference when you’re traveling. Seriously- an uncomfortable pair of shoes (re: blisters) can ruin even the most magical vacation or travel day. That’s why I had to share my roundup of the BEST women’s sandals for travel!
Whether you’re exploring ancient ruins and cobbled streets, strolling through a vineyard, or sipping cocktails on the beach, you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. So with summer just around the corner and so many options out there, it can be hard to know where to start— so I’ve done the research for you! Every pair of tried and tested sandals on this list is under $50 on Amazon, and most of them are available in several colors and ship free on Amazon Prime.
Here are the cutest, comfiest, and most affordable sandals for travel and sightseeing (or really any time). As a wise woman once said, “Life is short, buy the shoes.”

ToggleSanuk sandals have a reputation for comfort, traction, and durability. These are my #1 favorite women’s sandals for travel and beat out a lot of other well known brands, like Reef (no traction) or OluKai (not comfortable for me!). These classic, neutral sandals are like walking around on a plush yoga mat, but are still supportive and sturdy for travel and sightseeing on foot! They can be dressed up or down, and are the perfect “go with anything” chic shoe.

Looking for the perfect platform sandal for summer or vacation? This is it! These shoes have really great support and are easy to wear all day, especially with the secure ankle strap. Bonus: they’re available in 5 colors and the straps don’t rub!
$40.00
Okay, okay— I know what you’re thinking. Crocs, really? But these surprised me and I couldn’t leave them off this list! They’re not as stylish as all the other shoes on this list, they are a great upgrade to a classic flip flop sandal and are the most comfortable shoe on this list. They come in almost 30 colors and are lightweight, water friendly, and have a relaxed fit.

Another winner from Dr. Scholl’s, this essential wedge sandal is one of the only shoes with a “heel” that I’d consider walking around in for hours on end. They have a 2.5” heel and are secured with the ankle strap. You’ll find them in 5 colors and

I fell in love with Teva sandals when I worked as a dolphin trainer, running around dripping wet in the heat all day. Teva shoes are built to last and are perfect for all day comfort. Their original universal sandal comes in 45 colors, so if you’re looking for a casual, dependable walking sandal with an ankle strap, this is the pair I recommend!
